Apple is niet aanwezig op de Europese MacWorld, maar wel op Handheld Learning 2008. Op MacWorld kun je lezen:
It’s the third year Apple has appeared at the show to introduce tech-savvy educators to its portable solutions and their application to education, and you can expect an iPhone focus this time around.
Een hele mooie plek natuurlijk om te laten zien dat de iPhone en iPod touch buitengewoon interessante apparaten zijn om toe te passen in het onderwijs. Apple heeft sessies rond de iPhone SDK gepland staan om ontwikkelaars de mogelijkheden te laten zien om educatieve toepassingen te ontwikkelen. Ook geeft de Abilene Christian University een presentatie over zij 1000 studenten met iPhones laten werken.
